we’re shooting n & t’s wedding early next year and once again i thought i would discuss an engagement session with them. i went crazy, looking for random shots that suited their personalities. this shoot was seriously fun, walking the streets of the west end searching for little treasures. n & t totally looked the part and suited the shots i had in mind, hope you like the end result.

if you like this shoot please leave a comment below, we would love to hear from you.

a white workshop v1

Our favourite place in South Australia is of course the Adelaide Hills, more specifically Hahndorf! Where there are beautiful rollings hills and cute cottages dotted along the tops of them. So when planning our first even ‘A White Workshop’ we could think of no place better. Perhaps another reason this little town has become a go to every chance we get is because of The White House Provincial Kitchen and Lounge.
For the workshop, where we took the opportunity to venture up the streets of Hanhdorf to find some pretty spots before returning to a styled session at The White House created by us to inspired this group of photographers. With complete creative freedom to do something that really is a reflection of all the things we love at the moment, a little rustic and a lot of bohemian made its way into the shoot. So as we await to see the final images that come from the other cameras that snapped along with us this afternoon we would like to share the few that we captured in between takes.

We had such a brilliant time and it was a great chance for us to share the little bit we know with some wonderful like minded photographers. And we might just have to do it again….

wedding style guide editorial (winter 2011)

garden grown… a concept that was born out of our own personal approach in life. being able to wander through the farmers market and pick props from our very own garden was the inspiration behind this shoot.

each time we create a shoot like this we not only get to share with you a part of us as we style and photograph it but also the amazingly talented people that are behind the products we source. jamie from follow studio has a simple elegant approach to the stationery she creates, using props from the endless collection at white & wander and of course shooting on location at pony was the best treat of all, picking items right off the shelves in the midst of a shot to add just that little bit extra was a stylists dream. we also had the opportunity to work closely with liberty at bubble n squeak to create the perfect winter menu for our shoot, her food is most definitely a treat. the rustic cake was created by silvana at the mac factory and deserves nothing less than the full page it received. our extra hands on the day were provided by kristy of erdelyi hair & body who not only did the hair/ makeup on the day and our beautiful assistant Claire that was also stepped in as our model for the day wearing Liza Emmanuel. these lovelies can really multi task. we also had a mini model dressed in the Bella dress from the amazing collection at Tea Princess. so this is our take on a rustic kitchen garden. simple and organic. we hope. x alia
